As a 20-year old student, aspiring investor, day trader and music producer, there’s always been a growing thirst for knowledge. I’ve always considered myself a self-starter, constantly trying to find the niche where I can best pursuit my inner passions. But it wasn’t until recently that I became enthusiastic about the financial world and all its intricacies. From my first visit to New York in 2009, I always wanted to know what those numbers outside the NASDAQ building represented. Little did I know that they represented the very core of a free enterprise, a place where behavioral intelligence was found in the blood of financiers and individuals alike. A place where competition thrived, no matter where you came from or how you got there, the American Dream. In 2012 I’ve been chosen among thousands of applicants for the Tim’s Millionaire Challenge. Now as a junior studying Finance at Florida International University, I’m turning my long hours of research into new ways of income security, but most importantly, as a bridge to break into Investment Banking and Money Management.

The most important investment you can make is in yourself. – Warren Buffett

I’m a small business owner, aspiring investor and an independent individual who lives for the finer things in life. As of now, I run a small business in consumer electronics. I have further plans to expand my business in the upcoming years. I’m currently attending school at Starkweather Education Center as a senior and actively looking into colleges. In these past months, I have been researching Wall Street on a day to day basis and have experienced quite a surge of knowledge revolving around the stock market. I’m mostly into short-term investments in penny stocks but also plan to do a bit of long-term investing in growth and dividends stocks once I’m established. After high school, I plan to go onto college and obtain my Bachelors degree in Finance, eventually getting my MBA down the road. Out of college, I plan to keep day trading, while at the same time pursing a career in investment banking/ money management at a top firm in New York. As a small business owner at the age of 17, I believe I can and will achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a hedge fund manager.

The winners in life think constantly in terms of I can, I will, and I am. Losers, on the other hand, concentrate their waking thoughts on what they should have or would have done, or what they can’t do. – Dennis Waitley
